The Henry County Board of Education ensures that all children residing within the jurisdiction of the public education agency, birth to age 21, regardless of the severity of their disability and who need special education and related services, are identified, located, and evaluated. Qualified personnel are employed to ensure special education services are provided. Every effort will be made by the Henry County School System to encourage a family focused approach for Individualized Education Plan development.

The Henry County Board of Education will be destroying Special Education Records for the years 1986-1989 after August 23, 2013. If this is your birth year and you choose to receive the information, please contact Lori Beasley at 334-585-2206 ext. 1230 before August 23, 2013. Identification and a signed release of records form will be required prior to the release of any Special Education Records.
