Federal Programs 

 The Henry County School System Federal Programs Department has adopted the goal of program coordination and is committed to improving teaching and learning through greater cross-program coordination, planning, and service delivery of federal programs, special education services, community education, and parent involvement programs as well as professional development. Those federal programs included are: 

 Title I – Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged
Title II – Preparing, Training, and Recruiting High-Quality Teachers and Principals
Title III – Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Program
Title IV – Safe and Drug Free Schools
Title V – Innovative Programs
Title VI – Rural and Low-Income Program

The Henry County School System is committed to producing responsible, productive citizens by providing a quality education for all students in a safe environment. This will be accomplished through a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate, and challenging curriculum taught by highly qualified, effective staff.

The Henry County School System Title I plan is available for review in the Federal Programs Coordinator's Office in the Central Office. It is also available in the principal's office and media center at each school.
