Distance Learning Information
Teachers will be contacting parents the week of April 1st to discuss our plan for distance learning. Parents will have the options of receiving their student's assignments digitally or picking up a paper copy at the school on April 9th during an assigned time. Teachers will work with parents that can't pick up assignments or recieve them digitally so that all students can continue to learn. Teachers will also let each parent know what time they can come to school to pick up assignments if that is the preferred method. All assignments should be completed by May 14th. Paper copies of assignments will be dropped off at the school on May 14th at an assigned time. Digital copies can be turned it digitally as students complete each assignment. If you do not recieve a phone from one of your student' teachers by the end of the week of April 1st, please make contact with one of your student's teachers (if you can) or call the school. Teachers can be emailed through the school website by clicking on "staff directory" and then choosing the teacher you would like to email. Thank you for your patience during this unusual time in history! We plan to continue serving our students to the best of our ability throughout the remainder of the school year.
We will not take up library books or text books at this time. Library books from HMS can be dropped off in the dropbox at the Headland public library on the square. Mrs. Tew will work with the public library to get all of the HMS books back when our state mandates are lifted. We will also not allow students to clean out lockers or pass out yearbooks until all state mandates are lifted.
