We are excited to continue implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to support staff and students with creating a positive school culture and climate. We will highlight and celebrate positive behavior through our reward systems. PBIS also supplies students with social skills to help them make positive appropriate choices daily.
Having a school-wide behavioral approach incorporates everyone. Students can see that we all support them and equally contribute to our school’s success and safety. The students, along with the staff and PBIS team, have designed an expectation for the cafeteria, classroom, restroom, and in the hallway. These expectations are posted in the specific areas in our school. Headland Elementary’s acronym for school-wide behavior is RAMS.
